About More Than Fish & Hammocks
and Elizabeth Adams, Artist
The craft of netting seems to have gotten the reputation recently of being “old fashioned” or a “reenactor’s craft”. The goal of More Than Fish & Hammocks is not just to teach the basics of netting, but to also show new techniques and patterns that bring netting up to date and show it’s versatility as a modern craft technique.
Elizabeth Adams is a native Texan fiber artist, jeweler, enamelist, and accessories designer currently residing in Seattle, WA. She is largely a self-taught netter and also spins, weaves, and dyes. Her jewelry work can be seen at NightshadeRose Studio and she can be contacted via email here .
More Than Fish & Hammocks was started as a side project that has since gotten a little out of hand. If you enjoy this site or find it useful and you can spare the money, please consider throwing a few dollars in the tip jar. I’m planning some major updates soon (cleaner layout that’s easier for me to update, more patterns & techniques, more photos, and maybe video, but always, always the same clear illustrations), so I’d also like to hear what specifically y’all would like to see added to the site. Please let me know at the above link. Thank you!
