Square Net

Diamond net but slanted!

Tie 2 loops (3 knots) onto your foundation

Increase by 1 stitch at the end of every row, beginning with row 2.

When you reach your desired width, net one row plain, with no increases or decreases.

For square-shaped net, beginning on the next row, decrease by one stitch at the end of each row.

Continue decreasing at the end of every row.

Continue until there are 2 loops remaining.

Net the 2 remaining loops together.

Back up at the top, remove the foundation stick/loop.

Net the 2 starting loops together.

Stretch it out. Congratulations, you have squares!

For Rectangle-Shaped Netting:

Start as square netting, through the single plain row when you reach your desired width.

On the next row, increase by one loop at the end

On the following row, decrease by one loop.

Continue alternating increases…

…and decreases, until reaching your desired length.

Net one plain row with no increases or decreases.

From here decrease every row by one loop until you hit the end and finish like square net.
